Skincare: your daily routine

When we talk about skincare, we always think of wrinkles, dark spots or expression lines, as these are the signs that worry us most.

Some clients ask me for daily moisturisers as their only skincare product, but how well these work also depends on other factors, such as cleansing or toner.

Although the daily routine is very simple, lifestyle, stress and lack of time stop us from being consistent, so here is a very simple reminder of how to look after your skin during the day:

1. Cleansing

The first step to healthy skin is cleansing. Overnight the skin renews its cells, and many dead cells are shed and left on the outer layer of the skin, so it is essential to remove them.

2. Toner

After cleansing, the skin's pH is thrown off balance; toner neutralises the cleanser and restores the skin to a neutral pH.

3. Serum

With a high concentration of active ingredients and a fast-absorbing liquid texture, serum is essential for fighting premature ageing of the skin.

4. Moisturising

Moisturising maintains the skin's natural balance, as well as its suppleness and resilience.

5. Sun protection

Sun protection is recommended in summer and winter alike. The skin's greatest enemy is the sun, and we need to prevent dark spots and other risks caused by sun exposure.

And with that, our skin is ready to face the day.

What about you? What daily routine do you follow?
